The vUSCG Reserves gives members that want to join the vUSCG, but are not able to devote as much time as is required to maintain active duty membership status, an opportunity to still be part of the organization.

vUSCG Reservist are only required to fly a minimum of two (2) hours per month, not to exceed ten (10) hours per month.  Reservist can assist in conducting routine patrols, cargo and personnel transports as well as SAR missions.  Reservist usually fill in at air stations while active duty members are away on special operations.

The vUSCG reserves is a great option for members of other VSOs, that are unable to devote full time to both organizations, or for currently active duty members of the vUSCG, that for any reason, are no longer able to maintain active duty status.
