The Atlantic Area Command Center (LANTCOM), located in Portsmouth, VA, coordinates law enforcement and SAR missions in the Atlantic Ocean, Great Lakes and Gulf of Mexico. LANTCOM is also responsible for oversight of all Atlantic Area District operations as well as the HITRON unit and the annual International Ice Patrol. LANTCOM and PACCOM are now combined under 1 Commander.
